#Fraylife x Trails & Ales - Exclusive Virginia Beer and Cider Hike

OVERVIEW

Join us Saturday, September 8th for an exclusive preview of a hiking trip like no other with Trails & Ales. A portion of the profits will be donated to local outdoor education and conservation organizations.

Enjoy a whole day of hiking Virginia’s spectacular Sky Meadows State Park paired with a visit to a cider barn, and finishing up with refreshments of your choice at a combined farm winery and brewery.

This moderate 4-mile loop hike offers some of the most spectacular views in the area. The hike begins at a historic pre-Civil War era farm, winds through beautiful pastures and meadows and ascends through the forest to the ridgeline where you’ll have a chance to hike along a section of the well-known Appalachian Trail. At the end of the hike, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning vista of beautiful mountain farmland.  

After the hike, we will quench our thirst with a sampling of refreshing ciders at the beautiful Mt. Defiance Cider Barn. From there we will head down the road to Quattro Goombas winery and brewery.  Once there, you’ll find everything from wine slushies and tastings, to beer flights, live music, and a pizzeria.

Van will be picking up and dropping off from the Metro Center stop. Please note: Return times back to the city can vary from the listed times depending on the pace of the group and the notoriously terrible traffic!
