Pole Vaulting

Join DC Fray and DC Vault for a private lesson with expert vaulters who have trained over 211 championship medalists. This outdoor pole vaulting training center is used for training everything from entry level through elite athletes, and now, you!

This pole vault experiences includes a brief warm-up and introductory discussion on pole vaulting and what to expect. You’ll be shown the basic fundamentals of pole vaulting while learning how to carry, run, and plant a vaulting pole, how to swing and turn using high rings and ropes, and finally, how to jump into a vault mat and clear a low bar. Starting at 5 feet and moving up from there based on individual participants performance and comfort level, this event couldn’t get any better!

Anyone who can run, jump, and hang from a bar are welcome! Afraid of heights? You won’t be holding more than about 7’ or 8’ up on a pole and will only be, at best, a few feet above a big foam mat - no worries!
