Virginia River Tubing Trip

The sweet, long Summer days are finally upon us- and we are so ready to get lit at our first River Tubing trip of the year!

Grab your cooler, favorite drinks and swimsuit—we’ll provide the transportation, tubes and watergun action.

We’ll meet at the Dunkin’ Donuts in Arlington (near the Ballston Metro stop) between 7-7:30am for check-in, and leave PROMPTLY at 8am to Front Royal Canoe.

After a 10am arrival, your event coordinator will quickly check the groups in, while you ready the coolers, and then we’ll jump on the shuttle buses for a short 1 mile ride down to the river.

Total time on the river can be anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on water levels.

After our epic float, we’ll gather back on the buses around 2pm, and arrive back at the Dunkin’ Donuts around 4pm.

Waivers required to party with us. This event is a 21+ event

What should I wear/bring?

Change of Clothes - in cool weather bring two sets, one for the river and one for the ride home.

River Shoes - old tennis shoes, aqua shoes or sandals with a heel strap are examples of good footwear. Shoes of some kind are required for all river trips. Front Royal Canoe does not allow guests to wear flip-flops on trips.

Swimwear - swim suits or a T-shirt and shorts are recommended in the summer.

Sunscreen and a hat.

Rain Gear - you can never tell when a afternoon storm will pop up here in the Valley.

Food - bring a picnic lunch or eat at the Kings Eddy Grill. Snacks and drinks are available in the outfitter store for your trip.

Drinking Water - brings lots of water and some other beverages of your choice. No glass bottles please.

Cooler - ice is available at the outfitter store. Front Royal Canoe does not allow Styrofoam coolers on the river.

Trash Bags - lets do our part to keep the river clean. Also good to put wet clothes in for the ride home.

Rope - bring enough to tie your gear in your boat.

Dry Bag or Waterproof Container - keep your gear dry while on the water.
