WOW!

I hope you're READY because we have 100 people to hop on the ice as Hippos tomorrow at Kettler Iceplex.

Yes, 100!

That being said, there are details to share that you NEED to know---if you miss something, have no fear as your captains will get a folder at check-in.

Arrival & Check-in

• Teams need to arrive for check-in at 6pm
  • We will no longer be meeting at Front Page but you can still pre-game at Kettler thanks to their delicious snack bar and draft beers but we can totally go to Front Page AFTER we crown a CHAMP!
• ONLY captains physically check-in at the table
• We will be playing at Kettler Iceplex on the Caps ice---you will see signs that direct you when you walk in. 
• Walking instructions from the BALLSTON metro: 

........Exit Metro and take LEFT on to Stuart St.

........Cross over Wilson Blvd to Ballston Mall

........Walk between Macy’s and Chipotle to Glebe Rd

........Take LEFT on Glebe…pass vehicle entrance to Ballston Mall parking garage

......…approximately 50 yds on your left you’ll see the parking garage elevator to the 8th floor and Kettler is to your left when you get off elevator.

• If you are driving, it's only $1 per hour to park and you have to drive to the VERY TOP of the parking complex to get in Kettler.

GAMES

• When you check-in you, your team will be assigned a pool (A-E) and game time.
• Each pool will play 3 rounds of games
• Each round lasts 3 minutes
• Teams will count balls with refs and report score
• Most number of balls caught after 3 rounds will advance to the SEMI-FINALS (720p)
• BOTH teams clear the ice after the game is over---head back to bleachers, especially if you advance
• Top half of teams from SEMI-FINALS will advance to the CHAMPIONSHIP (between 730p-745)

***While we made a team minimum of 4, we suggest 6 because you're going to be tired as you continue to move rounds. While we closed registration to NEW teams, you can still have friends sign up to JOIN your team without issue. THIS is the link to register before 12pm tomorrow.***

LOGISTICS

• Teams will sit in the bleacher area and be directed by a team member regarding play
  • teams should head directly to the bleachers upon arrival---staff can direct you.

• ONE ref will be at each game except for Semi's and Champs there will be TWO
• There is 10 min. between rounds to get on and off the ice for games----HUSTLE is key and walking on the ice is not easy.
• You can bring friends---we have a designated viewing area i.e. not the bleachers rather a comfy lounge area with the best view
• DRESS WARM---you're playing on ice which means you will get wet and be cold all at once.
• Knee pads and elbow pads wouldn't be a bad idea.
• Only sneakers/boots are allowed on the ice.
