Stonewall Bocce is an LGBTQ & Ally community-based, non-profit sports league that strives to raise funds for local non-profit organizations. Our league values each player for who they are and what they bring to the league’s community.

Our Vision: We believe every person should have the ability to feel comfortable being oneself in organized sports. We also believe organized communities have the ability and responsibly to support others in need.

Our Mission: To provide an inclusive, low-cost, high FUN bocce league that is managed as a non-profit with a philanthropic heart.

Each team will be playing for local charity of their choice. Our past seasons finalists have collectively donated over $10,000 to DC LGBTQ & Ally friendly charities, including Whitman Walker, DC Center, Metro Teen AIDS, Sitar Center, and Camp Dreamcatcher!

Details about Stonewall Bocce - Season 4 - Spring 2013

Season Details

• Dates: 3/28 (Game One) - 5/23 (Final Game)
• Game Day & Times: Thursdays at 6:30pm & 7:15pm
• Location: Logan Circle

Registration Info

• Tuesday - March 5th - Early Registration Opens @ 10am (Returning Players Only) $40
• Thursday - March 7th - Open Registration @ 10am (New & Returning Players) $45

Registration will close on Monday 3/11 at Midnight ET OR as soon as we reach 175 players.

Bocce League Basics

• 14-16 teams this season
• Minimum of 6 players to be considered a team; 10 maximum per team
• The first 16 groups to get 6 paid and captain approved players becomes a team
• If a team doesn’t make team status by end of registration free agents will be assigned till they meet team status
• League maximum to provide an opportunity for new members to join
• League maximum is 175 at which point registration will close
• Although there is a minimum of 6 players per team, teams should be prepared to take up to 8 players (assuming other teams don’t take more than 8 players)
